近來真主黨與以色列之間的軍事衝突升高，雙方直接攻擊對方國境的頻率也開始升高，以色列駐台辦事處23日對此發表中英文聲明如下：
真主黨持續襲擊以色列已將近一年，日復一日攻擊平民社區和重要基礎設施，導致超過70,000名公民被迫離開家園。
以色列不希望發動全面戰爭，但在經歷了11個月的每日的攻擊以及未能達成外交共識後，我們所做的正是每個負責任的國家都會做的事情，因為以色列有權利也有義務保護其公民。
伊朗是推動真主黨侵略，造成區域不穩定的幕後推手，這不僅對以色列構成威脅，也危及全球安全。目前已經有獲得一致同意的政治解決方案，對於所有關心穩定和緩和局勢的人來說，這件事是需要去做的—推動立即執行聯合國安理會第1701號決議，要求真主黨部隊撤退至黎巴嫩的利塔尼河以北地區。
Statement regarding the current Hezbollah Attack
“It’s been almost one year since Hezbollah started attacking Israel, on a daily basis, targeting population civilian centers and vital infrastructure, causing the displacement of more than 70,000 citizens from their homes. Israel does not want a full-scale war, but after 11 months of daily attacks and failed efforts to reach diplomatic understanding - we are doing what every responsible country would do! We have a right and a duty to protect our citizens! Iran is the driving force behind Hezbollah’s aggression and regional instability. It poses a threat not only to Israel but to global security. There is a political solution already agreed! There is one thing that needs to be done by everyone interested in stability and de-escalation: push for the immediate implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which calls for the withdrawal of Hezbollah forces to north of the Litani River in Lebanon”.
