Right now 和 Right away 有時候可以互相替換使用，但有時候又不行，到底該如何正確使用它們呢？
先來考考你，以下空格到底該填 Right now 還是 Right away？還是兩個都可以？

Right now 的意思其實就等於 now（現在），只不過加了 right 這個強調詞，語氣聽起來比較強，可以用來說明某人事物的「當下狀態」，例如以下這幾句：
I am very busy right now.（我現在很忙。）
What is he doing right now?（他現在在做什麼？）
Right now 有時也可以理解成「馬上做某事」的意思，這個時候就可以等於 right away，例如：
We had better leave right now / right away, or we will miss the train.（我們最好馬上離開，不然我們會錯過火車。）
Can you send me the file right now / right away?（你可以馬上寄給我那個檔案嗎？）
另外，如果要表達「在其他某時間點要馬上做某事」，沒有要強調「現在、當下」就要做，那就只能用 right away 囉，例如這一句：
When you see John this afternoon, tell him to meet me in my office right away.（你這個下午看到 John 時，告訴他馬上來我的辦公室找我。）
