希臘當地時間1日清晨發生一起重大意外，一輛客運列車與貨運列車迎面相撞，多節車廂出軌，強烈撞擊導致至少3節車廂竄出熊熊大火，目前超過16人死亡、60人受傷。
根據美聯社報導，希臘北部坦佩（Tempe）1日清晨發生列車相撞事故，一列從雅典開往塞薩洛尼基（Thessaloniki）的客運火車跟一列從塞薩洛尼基開往拉里薩的載貨列車迎頭相撞。據悉，當地官員指出，客運列車上載著約350名乘客，但已經有多節車廂出軌，前面的車廂甚至整個被撞毀，並燃起大火，雖然消防人員迅速控制火勢，但死傷數字恐怕還會上升。
而拉里薩（Larissa）醫院人員表示，事故造成超過60人受傷，其中25人傷勢嚴重。另外，法新社報導提到，目前確定有16人死亡。
