香港警務處國家安全處29日晚拘捕泛民主派組織「學生動源」前召集人鍾翰林，理由是涉嫌「煽動他人分裂國家」。這是依「港區國安法」成立的港警國安處成立以來，首度採取拘捕行動。
根據香港01報導，自稱港警國家安全處的人員，入夜後搜查鍾翰林位在元朗的住所，並在晚上8時51分將他戴上手銬帶走。

「學生動源」是提倡香港獨立的學生組織。「港區國安法」生效後，「學生動源」7月17日宣布遣散香港成員，並成立美國分部，鍾翰林並辭任召集人，同時退出組織。
